Luxury Menswear Is Making Its Play for Golf
From tailored polos to sleek knits, designers have redefined the sport’s signature style for the modern man.

Golf has stood as a sartorial symbol of leisure-class tradition for decades: stiff collars, pastel polos, and conservative khakis best suited for the fairway—or a country club brunch. But in 2025, the game has changed. Today’s golfwear isn't just for tee time. It’s stylish, streetwise, and worn well beyond the green. Driven by quiet luxury, the “old money” aesthetic, and the growing blend of athleisure and everyday style, golf wear has become one of the most unexpectedly fashionable lanes in menswear.
The latest golf collections are not your standard-issue country club attire. Fashion brands are turning their attention to golf apparel. Kim Jones’ Dior Men lifestyle capsule, inspired by the world of golf, remixes the Official Preppy Handbook staples such as polo shirts and V-neck sweaters with cargo Bermuda shorts and track pants. The Off-White c/o Paris Hilinski “All In One” golf collection features custom arrow graphics that the label’s late founder Virgil Abloh sent to the pro golfer to heat transfer onto her polos and jackets on tour. Meanwhile, Travis Scott and Ghostface Killah–approved LA lifestyle brand Malbon Golf offers windbreakers and quarter-zips with swag to wear on and off the course.
Designers are clearly taking notes from the sport’s polished past while updating it for a new, more fashion-forward generation. Brands like Loro Piana and Ralph Lauren are pioneers of this look, while others like Rowing Blazers are leaning into this revival to capture the sport’s timeless charm in a contemporary manner. The results? Performance-ready looks that speak just as fluently at a rooftop party or gallery opening as they do on the 18th hole.
And the trend isn’t just catching fire in the designer world—it’s teeing up a full lifestyle movement. At the 2025 Masters, stylish spectators rivaled the pros with wide-brimmed caps, designer sunglasses, and tailored knits layered over crisp button-downs. Think preppy, but with an edge. There’s an ease to the new era of golfwear: it’s refined without being stuffy, sporty without being sloppy.
Celebrities are leaning in too, with stars like Tyler, The Creator and Jeremy Allen White sporting golf-inspired knits and performance pants styled with loafers or designer sneakers—proof that the golf look aesthetic has officially left the clubhouse.
