Plumbing emergency, how do I cap a pipe
I cut open a supply pipe to change the supply valve and only then realized that it's a 5/8 in copper pipe, not a 1/2-in pipe like all of the rest of the pipes in the bathroom. I don't have the right valve for it and the Lowe's in home Depot near me don't seem to carry anything in 5/8 of an inch. How can I cap this pipe so that I can turn the water back onto my house? It just needs to be a temporary fix so I can use the sink and take a shower and stuff until tomorrow. submitted by /u/SlickMcFav0rit3 [link] [comments]
