BLAST, the organisers of the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS), has announced a partnership with Visit Raleigh.

As a result of the deal, the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau will be integrated across the event’s broadcast and act as part of the venue’s on-site branding.

In addition to the Visit Raleigh branding appearing on-site and across the broadcast, the collaboration aims to showcase ‘Greater Raleigh’s vibrant culture, world-class hospitality and reputation as a hub for innovation.’

The RLCS Raleigh Major takes place at the Lenovo Center from June 26th to 29th, 2025, featuring 16 teams from around the world competing for a share of a $351,000 (~£257,962) prize pool.

“The RLCS Raleigh Major is a landmark event for Rocket League and for the destination,” said James Woollard, Director of Market Development at BLAST.

“Partnering with Visit Raleigh allows us to truly showcase the region’s appeal to a global audience. These events aren’t just about the entertainment; they bring real economic impact through tourism and local business, and we’re proud to help fuel that momentum in Greater Raleigh.”

RLCS’s Raleigh Major is the second RLCS LAN event of the 2025 season. The first took place in Birmingham, UK, recording peak viewing figures of 287,987 according to Esports Charts.

Has Raleigh Become An Esports Hub?

The city of Raleigh, North Carolina, has become a hotbed for the esports industry in recent years. In April, the city hosted ESL One, the first US Dota 2 event operated by ESL FACEIT Group in six years.

In 2023, the city also hosted the LCS Spring Finals, with the event reportedly generating $2.74m (~£2m) of direct economic impact into the city.

With the RLCS heading to the city at the end of June, Raleigh continues to see the value of hosting large-scale esports events at venues within the city and the surrounding area.
