June 14 – July 13     

USA

Spread across 12 iconic US sporting venues, 32 of the best teams in the world meet in June to crown the best football team in the world. Will Manchester City successfully defend their FIFA Club World Cup title, or will a new champion be crowned in 2025?

July 2 – 25  

Switzerland

England’s Lionesses are the defending champions and return to battle against Europe’s other top nations in Switzerland this summer. Kicking off in July, the month-long tournament is the pinnacle of this year’s women’s football diary and where eight-time winners Germany will look to add another victory in their neighbour’s backyard.

August 24 – September 7     

New York, USA

Last year saw two new winners at the US Open as Jannik Sinner won the Men’s Singles Tournament, and Aryna Sabalenka won the Women’s Singles Tournament. Both are current number one Seeds, so will history repeat itself, or will two new champions rise up at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center come September?

September 29 – October 26 

India

Australia women’s cricket team walked away from the last Cricket World Cup victorious, but could India’s uncompromising playing conditions see the host nation triumph? The 2025 Women’s Cricket World Cup is the thirteenth tournament of its kind, and with only three nations ever to have won it, could a new nation be added to the prestigious list of winners this year?

October 17 – 19      

Austin, USA

All eyes will be on F1’s United States Grand Prix in Austin for the 56-lap race at the Circuit of the Americas in October. Landon Norris secured victory last time around, and with McLaren’s continued dominance this season, could his teammate Oscar Piastri be his closest rival when race day rolls around?

November 21 – 25   

Perth, Australia

Considered the “Rivalry of Rivalries,” November marks the start of another gruelling five-match Ashes series, which gets underway at the WACA in Perth. It’s been 10 years since England last won the Ashes and 15 years since Alistair Cook secured England’s last victory over the old enemy on Australian soil.

December 21 – January 18 (2026)     

Morocco

Two years ago, the Ivory Coast upset the odds to beat Nigeria in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. This year, Morocco is the host and also the favourites ahead of the tournament, but could seven-time champions Egypt rain on their parade?

Where better to kick-start our list of sports events 2025 than with the marquee fixture of the basketball calendar – the NBA Finals. Set to be held between June 5 and June 22, with the knockout stage well underway, which two teams will fight it out for the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy remains to be seen. The last four standing at the time of writing are the Thunder and Timberwolves on one side of the bracket, and the Knicks and Pacers on the other.

June’s sports schedule 2025 would not be complete without drawing your attention to the prestigious football sporting event that is the FIFA Club World Cup. With the United States hosting 32 of the best teams from around the globe, this remarkable club tournament makes for the perfect ‘futures bet’ and will run from June 14 until the final on July 13 this year.

We kick start July off with a trip to Switzerland to witness the month-long UEFA Women’s Euro 2025, one of the best major sports tournaments in women’s football. Next up on our sports calendar is Major League Baseball’s seasonal finale – the MLB World Series. With a potential seven-game series on the cards, the final postseason showdown will kick off on October 20, and there will undoubtedly be a host of ‘moneyline’ opportunities for betting enthusiasts to profit from. 

In what will be a landmark occasion in our list of sports events 2025, for the first time ever, Madrid, Spain, will be the setting for the expanding NFL International Series as the Miami Dolphins host the Washington Commanders on November 16. November also sees the age-old cricketing rivalry between England and Australia commence again as the First Test in the 2025/26 Ashes Series kicks off on November 21 in Perth. A traditionally tricky ground to try to win back the Ashes, England will head to the WACA as likely underdogs, but also a fantastic proposal to ‘fade the market’ against the mighty Baggy Greens.

While the year may be coming to a close, the sporting action certainly doesn’t stop as December features the F1 finale of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. In what has been one of the closest Formula One seasons for years, the constructor and driver championships could both be decided on the final F1 weekend running from December 5 – 7.

Finally, our sports schedule 2025 sees us heading to Morocco, which will host the African Cup of Nations, which starts on December 21. Spread over four weeks, the tournament’s group format makes it ideal for ‘round robin betting’ as 23 teams try to unseat the 2023 tournament winners, the Ivory Coast.
