Suggestions on a base/foundation for our library.

We have a “little free library” made of treated wood. We have put in the glass door and painted it since this photo was taken and are now ready to place it in our yard. The base is a large wooden planter box that will be filled with soil for flowers and the bottom is flat. It will be placed on grass. I’m wondering if we should create some kind of base / foundation for it. Perhaps something as simple as a couple of two by fours. Something to have it not be sitting flat and directly on the ground where I worry it could start to rot fairly quickly. I would love your best suggestions for what to put under it, if anything. Or any other handy tips. Thanks so much! submitted by /u/wesmackmusic [link] [comments]
