Window Treatment Advice
I want to put up curtains in my apartment and am having a hard time thinking of a solution for this window. The apartment comes with pull down shades but they’re installed in a way where the actual ceiling is indented where the pull down shades ascend. It’s a bit hard to describe so I included photos as best as I could. I really like the look of curtains that extend past the actual window, but the top of the window is in line with the top of the indented part of the wall. The window is about 78 inches wide, so I think I would need a middle support if I were to attach the rod on the wall outside of the indent. I also think it’s too long for a tension rod, but let me know your thoughts. There is a ceiling portion I’ve considered adding a hook to and maybe adding a wire to support the middle from the ceiling. However I’m not sure if that would look bad and may not even offer much support. Please let me know any suggestions to address this, anything is welcome. Also FYI I do want very lightweight curtains given the circumstances. https://imgur.com/a/1qYeCjT submitted by /u/These_Clue_8347 [link] [comments]
