Beginner DIYer. Should I Invest in Power Tools or Just Rent for Now?
Hey everyone, I'm fairly new to the DIY space and starting to take on small home projects, mostly basic repairs, furniture assembly, and maybe some light woodworking in the future. Right now, I'm debating whether it's worth buying essential power tools upfront (like a drill, jigsaw, or sander) or just renting tools as needed until I build more confidence and know exactly what I'll use often. For those who have been through this learning curve, what would you recommend? What tools became essential for you early on? Did renting work out well in the beginning, or did you wish you'd invested sooner? I'd really appreciate your advice before I make any purchases. submitted by /u/jessicasergey [link] [comments]
