Concrete finish bar top?

I've seen a few posts about these. They look good and seem achievable but I'd like some opinions on the durability... I've seen a few people online use ardex feather finish and impregnator over a couple layers of 5/8 plywood. I'd like to do this for my outdoor bar top. The existing bar already sits on top of a pressure treated deck so I'd expect some movement (nothing major as the bar has a stone facade for the past 7 years that hasn't cracked at all). Is ardex or similar product going to crack? Should I use a reinforcing tape on the joints? Should I use a couple layers of hardy board instead of plywood? Is the 501 impregnator the only sealer I need? Thanks! submitted by /u/3FromTheTee [link] [comments]
