Marvel Rivals Ignite Stage 1 Group Stage has concluded for some regions, with the best teams qualifying for the playoffs after nearly two weeks of matches.

In total, 28 teams will progress to the playoffs across all five regions. So here are the top teams to look out for as the competition reaches its Playoff stage.

The Group Stage saw the top-performing teams, invited and qualified, compete for a place in the Playoffs.

The Group Stage occurred from June 12th to 22nd, 2025, for some regions, while others are still ongoing until as late as June 29th. The Group Stage featured a double-elimination format, where the best teams progressed based on their win/loss ratio.

China has yet to decide its Playoff teams as the Group Stage will conclude on June 29th, 2025. However, so far, the top team has been Nova Esports with an impressive win-to-loss ratio of 3-0, the highest of any team across both groups. Only time will tell if this team can keep up the momentum.

For Americas, the top teams from each group were FlyQuest (Group A) and Team Nemesis (Group B).

EMEA’s top contenders were Zero Tenacity (Group A) and Virtus.pro (Group B). For Asia, Gen.G Esports (Group A) and REJECT (Group B) were the top performers.

Oceania Crowns it’s Champion

Oceania had the smallest number of teams out of all the regions, and the fewest available spaces in the Mid-Season Finals. As a result, Oceania’s Stage 1 was the earliest to finish out of all the regions, concluding it’s Playoffs on June 22nd, 2025.

Ground Zero Gaming became the region’s champion, earning a spot in the Mid-Season Finals, a qualification to Stage 2, and $30,000 (~£24,000) in prize pool winnings.

Ground Zero gaming topped its respective group during the Group Stage, alongside other qualifying teams Kanga Esports, The Vicious, and Bethany.

Ground Zero gaming kickstarted the Playoffs by winning 3-0 against Bethany, followed by a decisive 3-1 victory against Kanga Esports in the Upper Bracket Finals. The tournament then concluded after Ground Zero gaming won 4-2 against Group B winners The Vicious in the Grand Finals.

Predictions for the Regional Playoffs

With Oceania concluded, fans are eager to see how the rest of the regions unfold as dark horses emerge, and fans witness surprise wins and defeats.

In Americas, FlyQuest was on a rampage in the Group Stage despite having a rough start, losing 2-0 to Ego Death. Since then, the team has been on a winning streak, securing victories against ENVY, a revenge victory against Ego Death, and 100-Thieves to secure a 5-1 record in Group A.

In EMEA, Virtus.pro remains the favourite to win the Playoffs. However, it’s no longer a guarantee, as Virtus.pro suffered a loss during the Group B Upper Bracket Semi-Finals against Rad EU. Virtus.pro would then go on to beat Rad.EU in the Upper Bracket Finals and Grand Finals, but Ignite has shown that Virtus.pro isn’t invincible.

In Asia, the two best teams with an impressive 5-0 win to loss ratio are Gen.G Esports and REJECT. The two teams, which topped Group A and B, are also neck and neck when it comes to map wins/losses, boasting a 10-1 ratio. In the playoffs, the most anticipated match is if the two teams ever clash.
