VALORANT Masters Toronto, VCT’s second international LAN event of the 2025 season, has seen a major increase in peak viewership compared to 2024’s Masters Shanghai.

According to data from esports platform Esports Charts, the final series between PRX and FNC recorded 1.104m viewers, increasing from the 914,000 peak during last year’s VALORANT Masters event in the same period.

It’s important to note that Esports Charts does not include Chinese viewership. However, Riot Games has since claimed that the event hit 2.8m concurrent viewers prior to the tournament’s conclusion, which likely includes viewership from the country.

The positive trend is further showcased when comparing average viewership numbers, which have gone up significantly. According to Esports Charts, average viewership for VALORANT Masters Toronto hit 473,582 as opposed to 340,000 from the previous year, with a total of nearly 35m watch hours.

The average has also beaten this year’s VCT Masters Bangkok, which stopped at the count of 407,994.

VALORANT is Growing Globally

In this VCT Masters, PRX proved its popularity at international championships. Aside from the final series, the team was featured in all four of the most-watched series of the tournament, all of which peaked above the 700,000 mark, according to Esports Charts.

Twitch and YouTube were the preferred streaming platforms to watch the competition, with both hitting more than 500,000 in terms of peak viewers. Other platforms with relevant numbers were TikTok Live and SOOP Korea, although much lower than the first two.

English-speaking viewers represented around half of the total VCT Masters Toronto viewership, although there was an even distribution among other language speakers, with Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, and Thai all recording strong numbers.

In terms of co-streaming, Sentinels content creator Tarık ‘Tarik’ Çelik was averaging over 40,000 on his own channel, with the final bumping the numbers over 50,000, according to data from Stream Charts.

Tyson ‘TenZ’ Ngo, who also took part in the VCT showmatch, averaged at 33,961, although his numbers were lower compared to Tarik heading into the final.
