The Ultimate Dragon Ball Online Generations Tier List
Dragon Ball Online Generations (DBOG) lets you live out your ultimate Dragon Ball dream by letting you create your own character. When you first start the game, you'll get to pick from a whopping 14 races to pick from (some of which we even forgot about, and we're fans of the series). Of course, if you want to be competitive in DBOG, the obvious question is: which race is the best? To help you out, we made this handy tier list. Spoiler alert: Saiyans aren't S-tier. Dragon Ball Online Generations Tier List Screenshot by Destructoid Before we start, let's get one thing out of the way: racial stat points don't really matter. Unless you want to absolutely mid-max a certain stat, you shouldn't really look at them. The thing you DO need to look at, are racial abilities because they are what ultimately determine which races are better than others. Note: The meta for DBOG has recently changed, which nerfed a bunch of stuff, especially basic and melee attacks. Because of this, many races that rely on these have been taken down a tier or two. S-Tier Race Info Human As a Human, you can charge your Ultimate twice as fast. This is invaluable if you rely on spamming your ultimates. Frost Demon (Frieza) Similar to humans, Frost Demons charge their Ki Charge abilities faster (probably so they can destroy all the filthy monkeys). Majin Majin are constantly regenerating their health thanks to the Super Regeneration Skill. Because of this, taking out a Majin is extremely difficult. A-Tier Race Info Tuffle When Tuffles lands a critical hit (any kind), they steal 7% of the opponent's stamina. This is really useful in PvP. Half-Saiyan When they are low on health, Half-Sayians do double damage with their moves. This can be useful if they have a bunch of ranged moves. Bojack When a Bojack's health is low (in red), their Physical Skills have no consumption, meaning, they can just spamthem without any cooldowns. B-Tier Race Info Bio-Android (Cell) When you regenerate Ki, you also regenerate health (it's fast). Useful if you're constantly charging up. Kai (Kaio-Shin) When Kais attack with Energy Weapons, they change their damage scaling with basic melee attacks to use Ki Damage. This can be useful, but more often than not, it's very situational. Yardratian Yardratian gain Ki when they hit their opponent. Can be useful, especially in PvP, but not so much for other activities. Kanassan Kanassans regenerate Stamina twice as fast. This can be useful in certain situations, but not very often. C-Tier Race Info Saiyan Saiyans double their basic attack damage when their health is low. Unfortunately, basic attacks are almost useless in this game, hence why this racial ability is also not that great. Demon When Demons use a Melee Weapon, they increase their melee damage by 1.1. This ability would be more useful if melee hits were more useful. Namekian (Piccolo) They can slowly regenerate health but it's barely noticeable, especially when compared to a Majin. Android Androids slowly regenerate their Ki, and similar to Namekians, it's barely noticable. Those are all the races in DBOG.
