Window tinted bedroom window. It got hotter??
I installed some one way, static cling window tint in my bedroom window. This is the type that looks like a mirror if youre outside. I peeled the protective film and applied that side to the glass. Then i used my BBQ infrared laser thermometer to see its effectiveness. Not what i expected!! At night, 3F higher compared to a side by side untreated window pane. In the morning when it gets direct sunlight, 20F higher!! I immediately peeled it off. What did i do wrong or how could this be?? submitted by /u/curyfuryone [link] [comments]
