Need a definitive solution for hard water spots on shower door

Thanks for reading, love this thread. I've tried everything from vinegar to drain cleaner and recently now steel wool #0000 which has come the closest honestly. But as soon as it dries it returns to very dry soap and water stains like it's on there permanently. I'm not an engineer but I don't believe these kinds of particles can penetrate glass to the point of no return. So I'm looking for some sort of chemically induced solution that's relatively inexpensive and won't knock me unconscious while using it lol. Furthermore the vinyl shower/tub also suffers from this haze and water/soap staining. If anyone can point something out for that too. I may have gone too far and put drain cleaner on it enough to partially discolor the tub though. My fault there. submitted by /u/djemalo [link] [comments]
