Marvel Rivals Fight Night #12 once again saw the best teams battle it out to claim the titles of champion this week in both Europe (EU) and North America (NA).

ENVY steals the crown from 100-Thieves in NA, whilst Virtus.pro has yet to suffer a single defeat in the event as it claims yet another victory in EU.

ENVY is at the Top of Its Game

Fight Night #12 was shaping up to be the long-anticipated grudge match between 100 Thieves and ENVY after the latter claimed victory in the grand finals of The Shroud Gauntlet last week.

After defeating Shroud-X in the challengers match 3-0, ENVY once again faced 100 Thieves in the finals. However, history would repeat itself as ENVY proved yet again to be the stronger team this time around with a narrow 3-2 victory.

Here is the breakdown of the finals match between ENVY and 100 Thieves (100T):

  • Game 1: ENVY 2-0 100T – Krakoa, Domination.
  • Game 2: 100T 3-2 ENVY – Yggdrasill Path, Convoy.
  • Game 3: 100T 3-0 ENVY – Hall of Djalia, Convergence.
  • Game 4: ENVY 2-1 100T – Hell’s Heaven, Domination.
  • Game 5: ENVY 3-0 100T – Spider Islands, Convoy.
  • End score: ENVY 3-2 100T.

During the livestream, Alex ‘Goldenboy’ Mendez, host for Rivals Fight Night, said: “I mean, you know, even though it was a 3-0 end for The Shroud Gauntlet, this one 3-2, just the fact that it ended that way, right on the money, same area, same everything. Yeah, a little deja vu, but you love to see it.”

Are Virtus.pro the Best Team in EU?

While a new champion was crowned in NA, over in EU it was business as usual as Virtus.pro claimed its 11th win in Rivals Fight Night. This means that since the series began, Virtus.pro have accumulated $11,000 in winnings so far.

Team 1 were looking to get a shot at revenge after losing last Fight Night, triumphing over Team Peps in the challengers match to once again face Virtus.pro in the finals. However, Virtus.pro proved to be the apex of EU teams by winning 3-0.

Here is the full breakdown of the EU matchup between Virtus.pro (VP) and Team 1 (T1):

  • Game 1: VP 2-0 T1 – Krakoa, Domination.
  • Game 2: VP 1-0 T1 – Hall of Djalia, Domination.
  • Game 3: VP 2-1 T1 – Birnin’ T’Challa, Domination.
  • End Score: VP 3-0 T1.

During the live stream, Jacob ‘JAKE’ Lyon, commentator for Rivals Fight Night EU, said: “They are playing with a vengeance week after week after week. I don’t know how they’re continuing to improve. Like, who is pushing them? Who is challenging them to reach that next level?

“Somehow they just have that motivation. And I think this is a team that sees the longer vision in Marvel Rivals, is looking ahead to things like Ignite, and is saying ‘you know what? we want a slice of those million-dollar prize pools, we need to be ready not just to dominate Europe, we need to dominate the global competition.'”
